State and Federal Funding Programs
Our State and Federal Funding Division provides strategic legal counsel to a broad range of clients, from community-based nonprofits to government entities receiving federal funding. We work with clients to develop external funding strategies that support their goals in the short, medium, and long term. Our attorneys regularly advise on federally funded programs administered by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) and the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD), helping clients enhance program performance and ensure compliance with award terms, conditions, and applicable regulations.
Government Affairs
Our Government Affairs Division offers a comprehensive range of services through all stages of the legislative and regulatory procedures, including monitoring legislative and regulatory activity, analyzing proposed measures, preparing position papers for submission to legislative committees and administrative agencies, and developing and executing strategies to promote favorable legislation or regulations. Our team also assists in drafting proposed laws and rules and provides strategic lobbying for or against specific bills or regulations. In addition, our attorneys collaborate with the Puerto Rico Bar Association when the Legislature requests their opinion on pending legislative proposals.
